What do dentures cost?

± €1,000 – €3,000

Full dentures (upper and lower) cost roughly €1,000 to €3,000, depending on material and practice. Basic insurance partly reimburses full dentures, with an own contribution; check your policy.

What is a clip-on denture?

A denture that clicks onto two or more implants with snaps, usually in the lower jaw. It sits more stably than a loose denture and eating and speaking are easier. It is more expensive than ordinary dentures.

How long do dentures last?

On average 5 to 10 years. Because the jaw slowly changes, the denture becomes looser; relining or replacement is then needed.

How do you get used to dentures?

That usually takes several weeks. Start with soft food, chew on both sides and practise speaking. Sore spots can be adjusted.

How do you care for dentures?

Clean them daily with a soft brush and mild soap or a special cleaner, do not use hot water and also clean gums and tongue. Leave them in water overnight or dry, according to your dentist's advice.
